Sunday Walk

Don't get me wrong, I love me some rain and staying home watching movies. But I do appreciate it a lot when the weather is appropriate for a chill walk by the beach. And that is exactly what happened in Sunday.

Throwback: Thessaloniki

It's the time of the year when I crave  some vacation. Even for a few days. To just hop into a plane and go somewhere I've never been before. And then I go back to reality and think of all the things that holds me back from doing it. One of my new year's goals though is to travel more, so let's hope I can have more travel experiences until the end of 2017.

Life Updates

Yes. I'm still alive. Yes. I survived 2016 too :)
Actually.....2016 wasn't that bad after all. Although it had some ups and downs, I like to focus on the positive ones. Last year was really life changing. I had to make some serious decisions, both wrong and right. People came into my life and people left. But i guess that's how life is. In the end the right ones will always stay.
  Last year I also learned to put myself first. No matter how hard it is or how you might look to some people, you should always do what's better for you. No one is going to care deeply about you, rather than yourself. Be brave, Take risks.  If you fail, get up and go on. It's better for you to regret for something you did, instead of something you didn't do.
  So here we are now. A new chapter is starting and I'm excited for what 2017 is going to bring. I hope this year is going to be more creative, full of love and health and super epic for everyone.

Lazy Sunday

Today is one of these days when the only thing I wanna do is just lay on the bed in my Pj's and a cup of hot tea and read a book, or watch a movie. So this is what I'm doing. Currently I'm reading Under your skin by Sabine Durrant

 It's been such a long time since I posted something on this blog and I feel kinda guilty about it. 

 I'm not going to find any excuses such as I was really busy or I got sick -which are both true by the way- But the main reason I haven't been blogging lately is that I was ridiculously lazy. Even though my Christmas Holidays were so good and there were a lot of things I could share with you, Somehow I ended up posting nothing. I know. I'm a terrible terrible blogger. 

Another reason why I didn't post anything since, I don't know, November? Is that unfortunately I'm a perfectionist. I went out and took some photos, I did prepare some posts, BUT at the end of the day I didn't like them so I didn't post them. Am I the only one who does that?  

Anyway, One of my 2016 resolutions is that I'm going to try to blog more often, and be more organized Let's see if I manage to do that.

Meet Limassol...

Man I love Limassol.  I don't know what it is about this city. Maybe it's the people, the places, the sea.... I really enjoy long walks at agiou andreou street, acting like a tourist, or sitting at a cafe on a Sunday afternoon.. Here are some photos that I took today while I was wandering around town.
As you can see, even if it's November already, the weather here is still lovely.

When Fashion Meets Nature...

Two things that I absolutely love wearing in the fall time is bold lipstick and hats. They can totally make an outfit more interesting and fun. Metallic colors are also a huge trend so today's post is going to include all of these.
Since here in Cyprus it's still hot even though it's October, we can't really start wearing warm clothes yet, so this outfit is somehow appropriate for our fall season.

First Post: My Name Is Rose

Oh hey there guys! As you can see from the title, this is my very first blog post. I'm finally doing this! I won't lie, I actually googled some ideas for first posts because I wanted to get inspired, but, I don't think i'm going to use any of that just because I want my first post to be honest and original.

 So today i'm going to introduce myself to you and tell you a few things about this blog. 

First of...My name is Rose and I live in Cyprus. I'm pretty sure most of you never heard of it but it's a small island in the Mediterranean sea. It's a very beautiful place to live and I love it. Especially in the summer when you can  visit all these amazing beaches or the traditional villages. Anyway i'm not going to promote my country any longer I promise. (but you can google it )

Back to our topic. I was first introduced to the world of blogging back in 2013 when two of my best friends and I decided to start a blog together. First, we took the idea as a joke, but then we started thinking about it and the more we discussed about it, the more it looked like a good idea. So, a few days later, (after a meeting we had at Starbucks) we created Bogibo! That's when I realized how much I love blogging, and sharing special moments with the world. Even though sometimes it's hard to keep up, especially when you have a busy schedule, but when you do take the time to do it, it feels really good. Now you are probably going to wonder: if you already have a blog, why do you want to start another one? The answer is simple. I love posting on Bogibo, but I also wanted my own place to share my experiences, my creativity and my thoughts without having to consider if they look ''professional'' or not. Just like a journal. So that's what i'm going to do here.

Even though I have zero free time due to my work, I'll try to post here as much as possible.If you are curious about what I do, I work at a spa as a beautician. I love my job and I've always wanted to work in the beauty industry. Sometimes it can be hard because we don't actually have a working schedule so I might work more hours that i'm suppose to, but sometimes it can be the opposite. This is the hardest part about my job. Other than that, I enjoy working there because I learn new stuff every day. I go to seminars or I even do courses about new techniques and equipment. In the future I might be posting more about what I do if you are interested.

Apart from beauty and makeup, I also love everything that has to do with fashion. I like experimenting with different looks and styles and of course I love shopping! I spend hours checking out fashion blogs or watching videos on youtube for inspiration.
You can also say i'm a bit crafty. I like recreating ideas from pinterest or I make my own accessories or decoration out of old stuff

Ok, I am going to stop ranting about myself and I'm going to tell you what this Blog is going to be about. NotesByRose is going to be exactly what the title says. My notes. My personal ''diary''. I'm going to be posting lifestyle and fashion ideas, DIY's, photography, events and many more! So stay tuned, leave your comments and suggestions in the comment section, and of course leave your blog names as well because I would love to check your blogs too!
